Islam And The End Times

This Week’s Feature Article by Jack Kelley

All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast-all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.(Rev. 13:8)

There’s a lot of interest these days in the role of Islam in the End Times. And from what I’m reading, a lot of misunderstanding, too. Recent surveys are shedding some light on the subject.

It’s clear that followers of Islam are increasing in number faster than any other religious group in the world. Their current growth rate is said to be four times faster than that of Christians.  According to a recent survey by The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, those who practice Islam now make up nearly one-fourth of the world’s population at 1.57 billion members, second only to Christianity.  This is revolutionary in nature and even though it’s happening right before our eyes, most Western Christians haven’t even noticed.  And not only are Moslems the fastest growing religious group in the world, they also hold that distinction in the United States, Canada and Europe, with Europe perhaps being the model of where Canada and then the US are headed.

Comparing the current birth rates of native Europeans with Europe’s Moslem immigrant population leads us to one very clear and surprising conclusion: the Europe we have known is very quickly changing into what some already refer to as Eurabia, and will soon find itself under the power and control of Islam. Today there are more Moslems in Germany than there are in Lebanon. France’s Moslem population, while fewer in number than Germany’s, represents a greater percentage of French citizenry, and given the current rate at which church buildings are being converted there will soon be more mosques in England than functioning churches.

Following the rapture of the Church, Islam will be the most populous religious system on Earth by a wide margin. Whether you believe that Islam is a religion of peace or not, it’s pretty obvious that they’re not going to just go away after the rapture and abandon their long held dream of becoming the world’s dominant religion just at the point of realizing it.

What About Ezekiel 38?

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that Islam will no longer be a viable religious force after the Battle of Ezekiel 38 either. According to The Pew Forum report, the countries who will unite against Israel and be defeated there are a small percentage of the total Islamic population. For example, the four largest Islamic countries by population aren’t even involved. In fact, two thirds of all the world’s Moslems live in 10 countries and of those only Turkey (5) and Iran (6) are named by Ezekiel. Rough estimates indicate that as little as 15% of the Islamic world will be represented by the forces aligned against Israel, and remember it’s only their soldiers who die in battle, not their total populations. And given their dismal past performance in battles against Israel, it’s unlikely that the followers of Islam will desert their religion because of one more defeat at the hands of the Jews.

And then there’s the fact that the end times leaders called the King of the North and the King of the South will both came from places that are decidedly Moslem today.  Just because they emerged from the Greek Empire doesn’t make them Western European. The first King of the North built his capital city, Seleucia, on the Tigris river in modern Iraq and the first King of the South lived in Egypt. Daniel 11:40 tells us the end times personifications of these two kings will still be contending for world dominance just prior to the beginning of the Great Tribulation.

Compare that to what will likely happen to the 2.2 billion strong “Christian” world in the Rapture and it’s not hard to see that Islam will be the strongest religious force on Earth as Daniel’s 70th Week begins. (After all, none of them will be raptured.)  Islam would be the obvious choice for a man who wants to use a religious system to gain control of the world.

And remember, the anti-Christ won’t be confirming a covenant with Israel for the purpose of helping them. He’ll be doing it to help himself. By means of peace he’ll deceive many, Daniel warned (Daniel 8:25). And with the exception of the fleeing Jewish remnant, the world will be deceived, saying “Peace and safety” just as sudden destruction comes upon them (1 Thes. 5:3). But God will not be deceived. He’s already on the record, calling it a covenant with death (Isaiah 28:15).  Doesn’t this covenant serve God’s purpose, you ask? Well of course everything that happens serves God’s purpose, but that doesn’t mean everything that happens is good for man. The Jews will think they’re getting a guarantee of peace but God will use the covenant to usher in Daniel’s 70th Week, a time when He’ll completely destroy the nations and purify His covenant people. It’ll be anything but peaceful.

Over 5 years ago I first reported on the similarities between Islamic prophecies of al Mahdi and Christian prophecies of the anti-Christ. I noted how both are said to come on the scene during a time of great turmoil on Earth, both come claiming a desire to restore peace, both have a seven year reign, both head a one world religion and one world government, both claim supernatural origins, and in both cases their reign is prophesied to end in a battle between good and evil that brings Earth’s final judgment. It almost sounds as if they’re the same person.

Back then almost all students of prophecy were still convinced that the anti-Christ had to be of Western European origin, aligned somehow with the Roman Catholic Church. But since then I’ve become aware of more and more people who are taking a second look at this traditional view, and are considering the possibility of a world leader coming from the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire, from which Islam sprang.

Another Lesson From Daniel

Our first glimpse of Gentile Dominion, the period of Gentile rule over the Earth, came in the form of a large poly-metallic statue from Nebuchadnezzar’s dream (Daniel 2:31-45)   When Daniel had his vision of Gentile Dominion (Daniel 7), it was represented by four great beasts. The first was a lion, symbolizing Babylon. The second was a bear, the Medo-Persians, and the third was a leopard, Greece. Then in Daniel 7:7 he said, “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast-terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.” This is a reference to Rome. In animal imagery, the horn stands for authority, and when used symbolically the number 10 denotes the completion of divine order. Comparing this with Daniel 2:44 we can see that  this 4th beast would have complete authority over Earth and would never totally relinquish it until the Lord comes to take it by force.

The anti-Christ will make his first Biblical appearance in Rev. 6:2, disguised as the man on the white horse. According to Daniel 8:25 he’ll seem to be a great peacemaker, but his intent will be to conquer the world. His true identity won’t be revealed untilRevelation 13:1-2 where it becomes clear that he’s been empowered by Satan. Verses 1- 2 describe him thus. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

Compare Rev. 13:1-2 to Daniel 7:7 and you’ll see that while the 10 horns show that he’ll have all the authority of the fourth gentile kingdom, his identifying characteristics will be more like the first three of Daniel’s beasts. Babylon, Persia, and Greece were all oriented toward the East. Only Rome had a western orientation (which made it different from the other three, as Daniel noted) Could this mean that the anti-Christ will also look first to the East (Isalm) to consolidate his power?

Time will tell. In his interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, Daniel told us how the end times version of the 4th kingdom would be characterized by inner conflict. He said that where it had once been as two strong legs of iron (the Eastern and Western divisions of the Roman Empire) rebuilding it at the end it would be like trying to mix iron and clay. (Daniel 2:40-43) He could have been describing some of the social unrest we’ve witnessed in several European countries since their native populations have not always responded well to Moslem immigration.

My purpose in writing this is not in any way to confirm or endorse the views of some self-proclaimed experts on Islam  who’ve burst on the scene recently with all sorts of new interpretations of Christian prophecy. It’s to remind us all to keep our eyes open. Things are happening fast and will continue to challenge our traditional perspective. Daniel was told that as the End of the Age approaches knowledge will increase (Daniel 12:4). That means we’ll be given a clearer understanding of how events will unfold than those who came before us. This will happen through careful observation, actually seeing the pieces of the puzzle fall into place and comparing them to Scripture. But God knows the end from the beginning, so none of this is new to Him. Where we see change, He just sees a closer alignment of Earthly events with Heavenly truth. It’s time to keep an open Bible handy as we watch the headlines because we now have another reason to search the Scriptures daily (Acts 17:11). You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah. 05-21-11

The Anti-Christ And Mr. Obama

Since the election I've been asked a number of times to comment on the likelihood that Mr. Obama could be the anti-Christ.   Let me begin by saying that having been elected President he's Mr. Obama now, not just Obama.  As for him being the anti-Christ I've discouraged that thought because I don't believe it's time for the anti-Christ to be revealed yet. But apart from that there's no Biblical reason I can find that would absolutely disqualify him.  And based on the things we know about the anti-Christ there's a fit in several important places.  The anti-Christ will have to burst on the scene quickly and powerfully to accomplish so much in the little time he has, so maybe he'll need a head start.  If that's the case, maybe Mr. Obama is on his way to becoming the anti-Christ. Let's find out.

We know that the anti-Christ will be a descendant of the people who made up the Roman Empire in Biblical times (Daniel 9:26), and he'll arrive on the world scene as a peace maker (Daniel 8:25). He won't be part of the world's powerful elite at the beginning of his career (Daniel 7:8) but will rise up among them to eventually surpass them and become the leader of the entire world. (Rev. 13:7-8)

He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power. (Daniel 8:25)

This means that he'll base his success on a lie, misrepresenting himself and his intentions, but people will want to believe him so badly that they'll disregard his inconsistencies until it's too late to stop him.  Initially he'll seem successful, but just when they're saying “Peace and safety”, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains to a pregnant woman, and they won't escape (1 Thes. 5:3).

 Deja Vu All Over Again?

Some of us remember when Jimmy Carter was elected President of the US.  The country was fed up with Washington and even though he had no national leadership experience, we elected him because he was an outsider who promised change. He said he would never lie to us, but after the election it turned out that he had. He had misrepresented his background and didn't have the ability he needed when it came to governing. He said he was Christian and even orchestrated a land for peace deal between Israel and Egypt, but he proved to be anti-Israel. Soon we had a crisis in finance with interest rates at 20%, an energy crisis with our first gas shortages, and an administration that didn't know how to work with Congress to fix things.  The Iranians captured our embassy and held our citizens hostage.  Thankfully he lasted only one term.

Mr. Obama could easily turn out to be just another Jimmy Carter, and if so America will suffer through the next four years and then he'll be gone.  But if he  continues to be successful in convincing people all around the world that he's on the right track even though everything seems to be falling apart, it could be a different story.

If my calculations are correct, American Christians have just voted in our last presidential elections and won't be here to see if Mr. Obama turns out to be the anti-Christ or not. But someone with a lot more experience in accurately predicting the future has some interesting insight into the next few years.  His name is Gerald Celente, CEO of Trends Research Institute, and he's renowned the world over for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events.  He accurately predicted the 1987 Stock market crash, the Fall of the Soviet Union, the 1997 Asian currency collapse, the sub-prime mortgage crisis, and one year before the fact predicted what he said would become known as the Panic of 2008, saying that giants would tumble to their deaths, which is what we've just seen in the fall of several of our oldest and biggest financial firms, and with the big three auto makers teetering on the brink. (You can check his track record for yourself at www.trendsresearch.com )

Celente is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years,  cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

According to his recent Fox News interview, called “Predicting Obama's Impact” (posted on YouTube on Nov. 10, 2008), by 2012 America will have become an undeveloped nation.  There will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and holidays will be more about obtaining food than gifts.

“We’re going to see the end of the retail Christmas….we’re going to see a fundamental shift take place….putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree,” said Celente, adding that the situation would be “worse than the great depression”.

“America’s going to go through a transition the likes of which no one is prepared for,” he said, noting that people’s refusal to acknowledge that America was even in a recession highlights how big a problem denial is in being ready for the true scale of the crisis.

All this comes from a man with an international reputation for being right and whose continued success  depends on it. If he's right now like he has been so often in the past, then the next four years will be worse than the Carter Administration ever was, rather than the launching platform for a coming world leader.

(By the way, please take note that this is another independent expert pointing to the year 2012 as one of cataclysmic significance in bringing about the End of the Age.)

There's a wild card that I hesitate to throw in here because I don't even want to think about it.  But if it's true it could easily cause the problems that Mr. Celente is predicting.  For some time now certain people, Republican and Democrat alike, have been saying that Mr. Obama isn't legally qualified to be President because he's not a natural born citizen of the US.  I won't go into the details but the point is that he could make this all go away by producing a legitimate birth certificate, something he's been unwilling to do.  A federal court has given him until Dec. 1, 2008 to do so, and if he does then the Electoral College vote will be certified and he'll be the next President. But lawsuits in a dozen or so states have been or are being filed to prevent the certification until Mr. Obama proves he's qualified.  If the courts throw out the election who knows what could happen.

What Time Is It?

As many of you know, I've said that all of the End Times prophecies including the 2ndComing could be fulfilled as early as 2018. I base this on the Lord's promise that the generation being born at the time of the first End Times signs would still be alive when “all these things have happened” (Matt. 24:34)  Most scholars view the re-birth of Israel in 1948 as the first of the end times signs. With an average lifespan being 70 years, according to Psalm 90:10, everything will have to come to pass by 2018. If the Rapture only just precedes the 70th Week of Daniel it could come 7 years earlier, in 2011, which is 2 ½  years from now, about half way through Mr. Obama's first term, assuming the election stands.

So here's how to tell if he'll become the anti-Christ or not.  If it seems like he can do no wrong, if people feel safe and it's beginning to look like there'll be peace in our time, then there's a good chance he's the one.  But if Gerald Celente's predictions are coming to pass, and the world's in worse shape than ever, then he's just another Jimmy Carter, an inexperienced outsider who had no business running for president in the first place, let alone being elected.

Time will tell, but either way we can look for some difficult days ahead for the Church.  Because either way we are in the final phase of post Christian America and can expect the world around us to become more and more anti-Christian. And if the economy continues to self-destruct it will be just that much worse.

But whether Mr. Obama turns out to be the anti-Christ or not is really irrelevant to the Church.  Our job in the short time we have left is to get ready to move to our new home.  That means breaking our ties with the old one.  Anything that can't be put to kingdom use is excess baggage to us now.  We should be sending whatever treasure we have up ahead.  We should stop worrying about our career, our retirement fund, our lifestyle, and all those other worldly distractions and put all our resources to work for the benefit of our next life.  After all it's the real one.  And one way or the other, this one is already gone.

Whether you believe in a pre-trib rapture or not you know my advice is sound.  After all I'm not just making this up.  Everything I 've been saying is straight from the Lord's own mouth.  He's the one who said to quit storing up treasure on Earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. He's the one who said to store up treasure in Heaven instead. (Matt. 6:19-20)  And He's the one who said not to worry about our lives here but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and he'll provide all our needs. (Matt. 6:31-34)  So whether you think we're leaving here soon or not, it's time to pay attention to what He's been telling us.  No matter how much time you think we have, you can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.  11-15-08

In the world of Eschatology there is a lot of money to be made selling books, doing seminars, giving speech engagements and generally sensationalizing anything that "sounds like" or "looks like" prophecy.

That is not why we are here or what I do.

We would see Jesus

And that is What Prophecy is all about.

Merchandizing and Marketing are the two largest leverages used in promotion of prophecy today.
They are effective, they work, and they also distort.

 We are about the Message.

We try to remove the M&M's from the sites posting so you get less candy and more meaning.

We are ALL about the Message.

It is not that we are ooposed to any Christian trying to make a buc, we simply choose to remove the dollars and sense so anyone and everyone can freely study and freely recieve the best, the most relevant and the currrent materials available on the internet to anyone who wants to know Fact from Fiction about End Times.

That can only be accomplished by personal study.
We aren't going to tell you what to beleive
That is the role of the Holy Spirit
but we are going to give you
tools to study.

Changing Churches

Q. We recently changed churches, for reasons not that important, now the church is not talking to us.  The other day we ran into the pastor he was rather upset with us and told us of all our mistakes we made in leaving his church.  Is this a Biblical thing?  Where does the Bible tell us we have to come to the pastor and tell him we selected another church to attend.   I thought that as the church we were all united in the same work.

A.  You’re not required to tell your pastor you’ve begun to worship elsewhere, although it is the courteous thing to do.  You and he apparently have personal issues that you should try to settle.  The Bible tells us that as Christians we should not leave these things unresolved.  It can effect our relationship with the Lord (Matt. 5:23-24) and is a poor witness to others.  Matt. 18:15-35 would be a good passage for you to study.

Why Doesn’t God Tell Everyone To Stop?

Q. There’s something I have been puzzling about.  Let’s say there are two good Christian friends. They both dabble in witchcraft and read their horoscopes every day. Then God tells one of them to stop doing that because he doesn’t like it. So the first person changes his lifestyle, but the second one never hears from God. They remain friends, despite the change. Now why does this happen? Why does God call one person and ignore many others who are doing the same thing? If the activity is displeasing wouldn’t he tell ALL of them to stop?

From a different angle – if you’re Christian and you believe Jesus died to save you, and OSAS is true, why does God call you out of doing certain things? Because if your behavior had no bearing on being saved, then you could go around doing witchcraft or whatever and it would be okay, wouldn’t it? I’m really confused. Please help.

A. God doesn’t apply His standards arbitrarily.  Through His Holy Spirit He convicts all of us of our sins. Some are just more tuned in than others to hear His voice.

As a practical matter God dealt with all the sins of our life at the cross (Colossians 2:13-14). Even the ones we haven’t committed yet are already paid for, so nothing we do can endanger our salvation. (John 10:27-30)

Trying to behave the way God wants us to is the way we express our gratitude to Him for saving us. Because we don’t have to do it, when we make the effort it’s like we’re saying thanks.

On the other hand, going off and doing things we know He doesn’t like makes us appear ungrateful and grieves the Holy Spirit (Ephes. 4:30). Our sins also gives the enemy access to us and can cause the loss of blessing or even persecution.

So because it pleases God and makes life better for us, it’s a good idea to avoid doing things we know the Lord doesn’t want us to do.

Do Angels Sing?

Q. May the Lord continue to bless you in this unique and wonderful ministry He has given you!  I have a question about Luke 2:13-14.  And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”  In passages like this we see the heavenly host ‘praising God’.  A minister once said that if you check the scriptures, we never read that the angels are singing.  He believed that only humans actually sing, not angels. Any thoughts on this statement?

A. I’ve heard this claim before and don’t agree with it. Angels can and do sing.  Job 38:7and Rev. 5:11-12 are two places that demonstrate this.  And the Greek word translated praising in Luke 2:13-14 literally means “to praise, extol, to sing praises in honor to God”.

Deluded By The Devil?

Q. I am in my seventies and have been a christian since my late teens and have truly been trying to live a christian life since my late twenties.  I have raised 2 sons that are saved, but, about a couple of years ago I was ill and the medicine the doctor put me on gave me a panic attack.  They put me to sleep and I dreamed that I went to heaven and was told, “Depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you”.

When I awakened I was terrified so they put me to sleep again and since then I feel void of my relationship with the Lord and half dead.  Of course I know it is due a lot to the medication, but, my question is:  Could the Devil have deluded me all of these years?  I love going to Church and have taught several times during the years and sang duets and solos when needed.  I feel like David when he prayed, “Restore unto me the joy of my salvation”.

A. You say you’ve been a Christian for about 50 years and have tried to live a Christian life, and you’ve given examples of the good works you’ve done.  But the only work God requires where your salvation is concerned is that you believe you’re a sinner, that Jesus died for all your sins, and that He rose again. (John 6:28-29, Romans 10:9)

If you have met this single requirement the dream you had contradicts the Scriptures, so it had to have come from a different source.  Paul wrote that from the moment you first believed your salvation was guaranteed (Ephes. 1:13-14).  The quote from Matt. 7:23refers to people who by their works appear to be believers, but are not doing the Father’s will.  His will, clearly described in John 6:39-40, is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and He won’t lose a single one of us.

Dealing With Sin In The Millennium

Q. I have heard that one who commits a transgression during the Millennium will have until the following morning to repent and make the matter right. Does Psalms 101:8 confirm this?

A. This is an opinion about the Millennium that can’t be confirmed in Scripture. Psalm 101 is David’s promise to make his life, his home, and his city pleasing to the Lord, partly by his own behavior and partly by getting rid of everyone who says or does anything evil there.

More On Falling Away

Q. Could the falling away happen due the the lack of sound preaching?  It is so very difficult to find a church that has preaching and teaching based strictly on the Bible.

A. The so-called falling away is due in part to the lack of sound teaching, and in part to the fact that many people no longer want to hear it. In 1 Tim. 4:1-2 Paul said, “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.  Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.”

And in 2 Tim 4:3-4 he wrote, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

I say “so-called” because the falling away only involves those who are Christians in name only.   Those with the Holy Spirit are able to spot false teaching and reject it, and as the end draws near they’re seeking the truth beyond the boundaries of what’s come to be known as organized religion.

Will The 3rd Temple Be Holy, Follow Up

Q. In your response to “Will the 3rd Temple Be Holy in God’s Sight?” you responded that “In order for the anti-Christ to desecrate the Temple, it will have to have been holy previously.  So yes, the sacrifices will be acceptable.” My question is: Acceptable to whom? They will certainly not be acceptable to God. Following Christ’s crucifixion the sacrifices were never again accepted by God and the Temple was destroyed.  Personally, I don’t believe the rebuilt Tribulation Temple will be anything but a one-sided empty service until the physical return of Christ.  It will be just as it was for the 40 years after the crucifixion of Christ.

A. Everything you’ve said about the sacrifices no longer being acceptable is true now and will remain so until the Rapture.   Then God will hit the reset button and those who remain on Earth will be back in the Age of Law for the completion of its last 7 years. We know this because a careful reading of Daniel 9:24-27 shows that the Age of Grace didn’t put an end to the Age of Law but rather interrupted it 7 years short of its promised duration, giving God the time to take a people for Himself from among the Gentiles.  Both Paul (Romans 11:25) and James (Acts 15:13-18) explained this.

For the End Times prophecies to be fulfilled, Israel has to be back it its Old Covenant relationship with God complete with Temple and sacrifices.  Otherwise the Temple could not be defiled because it would never have been consecrated, and the anti-Christ’s claim to be God while standing there  could not be called an abomination that causes desolation (Matt. 24:15, 2 Thes. 2:3).

Anointing With Oil

Q. I have seen people pray for other people and “anoint them with oil” by putting a dab of oil on their forehead. Could you tell me the purpose of anointing someone with oil, and are there rules for this? Can anyone anoint another person, or do they have to be a preacher to do this? Also, does the oil need to be blessed, and if so, who do you get to bless it? I see anointing oil being sold all over the internet. Does it have to be a special oil?

A. What you’ve seen is probably an application of James 5:14-15:

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Anointing a person with oil symbolizes setting them apart for God’s purpose or special attention.  It’s usually done by someone in a leadership position such as a pastor or elder, but can be done by any person praying over another. The oil itself doesn’t need to be blessed.

The oil you see being sold is usually a blend of olive oil and spices similar in some ways to what was used in the Old Testament (Exodus 30:22-25).  Many believers prefer to use special anointing oil when praying over others because of its Biblical significance.

Do We Sin Every Day?

Q. Do you believe a Christian sins every day?Our men’s group had a disagreement about if a Christian sins everyday. Thanks, I enjoy your Site very much.

A. You tell me. According to my understanding of the Sermon on the Mount and other passages, every time a man gets a little angry, impatient, or frustrated with another person, justified or not, he sins. Every time he looks at any possession of someone else’s and wishes, even for a moment, that it was his, he sins. Every time he considers a woman’s attractiveness, or glances briefly at the image of a woman in a movie, on TV, the cover of a magazine, or in some kind of an advertisement and however fleetingly experiences a desire for her, he sins. I could go on, but you get the idea.

Seeking The Lord

Q. My sister-in-law (who is Jewish) directed me to a Jewish website that explains why Jewish people don’t believe in the Messiah.  They claim that Christians have twisted the scriptures to make Jesus the Messiah.  I have heard this before, and I guess it just takes a leap of faith but is there any website to direct her to, or is it just not going to happen for her to believe until the Rapture and then I am hoping that people that I know will finally come to believe.

A. The Bible passage that has brought more Jews to faith in Jesus as the Messiah than any other is Isaiah 52:13-53:12.  In the Shrine of the Book museum in Jerusalem there is a copy of Isaiah that was discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls.  It’s 900 years older than the next oldest copy of Isaiah and comes from a time before the Church was born.  It’s almost identical to the text found in most Bibles today.

There are several Jewish sites that try to say Jesus is not the Jewish Messiah.  Their claims are easily disproved by anyone who takes the time to study the Bible. InJeremiah 29:13 the Lord said we will find Him when we seek Him with all our heart, and in Matt. 7:7-8 Jesus said that all who seek Him will find Him. It won’t take some special website to convince your sister-in-law of the truth. All she has to do is decide to seek Him with all her heart.  She’ll find Him in the Bible.

"After Word"
