Obama’s Catholic Press

In a sign the Obama administration is reaching out to Catholics in advance of the President's meeting with Pope Benedict XVI, President Obama hosted a media roundtable at the White House Thursday with members of the Catholic media.

According to those in attendance, Obama began the meeting with brief remarks and allowed each reporter to ask one question.

Father Owen Kearns of the National Catholic Register was invited to meet with the President on the pretext of talking about the upcoming trip to Rome and the Holy See. Kearns filed a report on his website saying the President had described a "wonderful" conversation with Pope Benedict XVI right after the November election. The President also went into some detail about his views of the Holy See, seeing it more as a government than just a religious state because of its powerful influence. Obama also said he's looking forward to talking to his Holiness about the Middle East, climate change and immigration.

Earlier this year, President Obama upset many Catholics when he gave the commencement speech at Notre Dame University, despite his pro-choice stance.

The roundtable was left off the White House schedule, but was confirmed to Fox News by a senior administration official. There were reporters from America, Avvenire/Vatican Radio, Catholic News Service, Catholic Digest, Commonweal, National Catholic Reporter and the Washington Post.

Often when people are specualting about the False Messiah, the Anti-Christ, they combibe prophecies about the False Prophet and Coming World Leader. The False World Religion is hard to not be what is left of the Roman Catholic Church in the near future, and the Holy See has been linked to some powerful conspiracy plots of manipulating popes.

While this meeting is not directly the fufilment of Prophecy, the World Leader will do much of what we see President Obama doing. Alignment to Scripture is geting again to a focal point.

Europe nears gas pipeline accord

Turkey will be a major player in the Nabucco project European governments are due to sign an agreement on the Nabucco gas pipeline on 13 July, the European Commission has announced. The Nabucco pipeline will bring Central Asian gas to western Europe via Turkey and the Balkans, bypassing Russia. Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Austria - the pipeline's five transit countries - will sign the accord. The pipeline - which will compete with new rival Russian pipelines - should be operational by 2014. Germany is also a member of the consortium, but the pipeline will not cross Germany. Map showing Nabucco pipeline route "I can confirm that the Commission has received an invitation to the signing ceremony of the intergovernmental agreement on the Nabucco pipeline on July 13 in Ankara," a European Commission spokesman told a news briefing. Russian concerns Plans for the Nabucco pipeline come as European Union states are keen to reduce their reliance upon Russian gas because of Russia's numerous price disputes in recent years with Ukraine. These rows have seen Gazprom temporarily cut supplies to Ukraine, which in turn has reduced Russian gas deliveries to western Europe that are piped through Russia's neighbour. Work is under way on Russian pipelines which will bypass Ukraine. Like Nabucco, the Russian South Stream pipeline will transit the Balkans. The major sources of gas for Nabucco are expected to be Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Azerbaijan has already promised Gazprom, the Russian state gas company, priority when it comes to buying gas. -----BBC As the EU develops it pipeline and self sufficiency, the Power of the revived European Roman Empire becomes an issue for other countries as the resources of Europe as a Whole are greater than American development as Industrialization has given way to selective development leaving America the potential to slide frm World Dominance.
