On Monday, in an unusually strong statement, foreign ministers of the European Union condemned Israeli settlement policies saying that, "settlements remain illegal under international law." They reiterated that the EU would not recognize any changes to Israel's lines before the 1967 Mideast war, when it captured the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

Israel's Foreign Ministry said the EU statement included "a long list of claims and criticism which are based on a partial, biased and one-sided depiction of realities on the ground."

On Monday, Moody's Investors Service warned that Spanish banks will remain vulnerable to rising loan delinquencies.

Moody's downgrades 26 Italian banks

"The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day." - E. M. Bounds
